Heard of the FCU 1000 Series? Here’s What You Should Know

The Fluid Control Unit FCU 1000 series is a portable fluid service unit for short-term assessment of solid particle pollution and water saturation in hydraulic systems. The FCU was created for the continuous monitoring of hydraulic system particle pollution.

Possible applications for the FCU 1000 series include control circuits, pressure circuits, and unpressurized tanks thanks to the integrated pump and the hoses included. Temperature and humidity are also measured by the integral AS 1000. The measured data can be saved on the included USB stick's USB port or wirelessly sent to a PC through the Bluetooth interface.

In the internal data memory, files (measurement value files) and folders (measurement points) are used to store all measurement data, including ISO, SAE/NAS, percent saturation, and temperature in °C or °F. A timestamp is used to save the data. After that, the assessment may be quickly completed on a computer using MS Excel or HYDAC's proprietary FluidMonitoring software (FluMoS). applications in hydraulic systems, mobile hydraulics for the service department, and maintenance.

For testing purposes, a small flow of oil can be diverted from the FCU's connection to low-or medium-pressure hydro and lubricating lines. In order to get precise particle counts, users of the FCU can connect to a machine hydraulic port directly (Scheduling Oil Sample-SOS) or at a system control pressure. Bottle sample analysis may be done in the field using the FCU.

Mobile hydraulic system maintenance and repair are among the FCU's applications. When machine availability rises dramatically as a result, the cost of contamination control is easily justifiable.
